Guilherme Pereira

Guilherme A. S. Pereira received his bachelor and master's degrees in electrical
  engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1998 and 2000,
  respectively, and his PhD degree in computer science from the same university in
  2003. He has received the Gold Medal Award from the Engineering School of UFMG
  for the first place among the electrical engineer students in 1998. From 11/2000
  to 05/2003, he was a visiting scientist at the GRASP Laboratory of the University
  of Pennsylvania. From 08/2003 to 06/2004, he was a lecturer at the departments
  of electronics engineering and computer science of the Catholic University of Minas
  Gerais, Brazil. He was also a visiting scholar at The Robotics Institute of Carnegie
  Mellon University from 08/2015 to 07/2016. From July/2004 to July/2018, he was
  a full-time professor at the electrical engineering department of the Federal University
  of Minas Gerais. He joined WVU in October 2018 as associate professor of the 
  Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He also holds
  an adjunct appointment at the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical
  Engineering. At WVU he coordinates the Field and Aerial Robotics Laboratory.
  
Pereira is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a member of Brazilian Society of Automatics (SBA) and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He served as the program chair of the 19th International Conference on Advanced Robotics.
