Working on robust state and parameter estimation in nonlinear dynamical systems through variational inference and Monte Carlo methods, with applications to robotic localization and mapping, system identification, and control systems.

Holds a B.Sc. in Control and Automation Engineering (2010) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2014) from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil. Was Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. His main research interests are: 

- Aircraft System Identification,

- Joint state and parameter estimation in continuous-time systems,

- Probabilistic robotics,

- Aerial robotics,

- Estimation theory.
